COURTNEY LOVE Delays Solo Debut
September 26, 2003Former HOLE frontwoman Courtney Love has pushed back the release of her upcoming solo album, "America's Sweetheart", to February 10.
As previously reported, "America's Sweetheart" features a number of tracks that were reportedly co-written with 4 NON BLONDES' Linda Perry, who has penned hits for PINK and CHRISTINA AGUILERA. In addition, Love is said to have collaborated with MATCHBOX TWENTY producer Matt Serletic, LIMP BIZKIT producer Josh Abraham and her former manager/boyfriend James Barber. She is also believed to have recorded a cover of Kim Carnes' 1981 #1 hit "Bette Davis Eyes" for possible inclusion on the album.
"America's Sweetheart" will be Love's first full-length release since her band HOLE's 1998 swan song, "Celebrity Skin". That set debuted at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 1.4 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.
